Oxford Living Greyhawk is proud to present:

The Vola Awards

Tassek's Tribute to Extreme Violence

the lovely lady herself

The Vola Awards are given out to those characters who have dealt the most damage during a Living Greyhawk scenario. We give out awards in the following eight categories:

Two awards are given out in each category, one award to the leading Oxford character (the damage being from any scenario, whether played in Oxford or elsewhere) and one 'honorary award' to a visiting character who performed said mighty deed whilst visiting Oxford. Note that these awards are only for actual Player Characters, and damage inflicted by mounts, animal companions and sundry NPCs doesn't count (although Summoned creatures can count for the spell damage awards).

The Current Award Holders

Melée Damage in a Single Round
This award goes to Klaas of the Ao'n Venteneach for doing 224 points of damage in four blows to an Advanced Pseudonatural Umber Hulk in an underground tunnel during "Head or Tails" at APL12.
Honourable mention goes to Kithran for doing 252 points of damage with two swords against an Advanced Mazchedeen tunnel-hunter in a dwarven tunnel beneath the Headlands during "A Crisis Of Faith".

Melée Damage with a Single Strike
This award goes to Devrin of Mayaheine for doing 208 points of damage to an Erinyes with a Power-Attacking Spirited Charge critical hit with a lance while mounted on a Bronze Gryphon. This occurred during "All Roads Lead To Rauxes" at APL10.
Honourable mention goes to Kithran for doing 108 points of damage against an Advanced Mazchedeen tunnel-hunter in a dwarven tunnel beneath the Headlands during "A Crisis Of Faith".

Ranged Damage with a Single Shot
This award goes to Caeleb Brionson of the Hillstalkers for doing 43 points of damage to a hag with a critical hit by an arrow shot from an enchanted mighty composite longbow, with the help of Greater Magic Weapon and Sonic Weapon spells from Zareba and an Empowered Flame Arrow spell from Kaylan, during "The Voice Of Reason" at APL14.

Ranged Damage in a Single Round
This award goes to Caeleb Brionson of the Hillstalkers for doing 171 points of damage with a twelve-arrow Arrow Storm from a mighty composite longbow against a group of human bandits in an underground tunnel during "Head or Tails" at APL12.

Number of Enemies Struck in a Single Round
This award goes to Darius Augustus for hitting (and dropping!) ten enemies with a single attack - Great Cleaving with a Reach weapon while Enlarged.

Spell Damage to a Single Target in One Round
This award goes to Baroness Elysia of Onnwal for doing 139 points of damage to a Fiendish Gibbering Mouther Rogue in a dragon's lair in the Land of Black Ice with a Bolt of Glory during "Here There Be Dragons" at APL14.
Honourable mention goes to Zareba for doing 144 points of damage to a half-orc Cleric of Hextor in the Calling Mines of Ahlissa with a critical hit from a sudden-maximised Scorching Ray Spellsword-stored in his greataxe, delivered with an attack of opportunity taken when said Cleric stooped to try and pick up the holy symbol of which he'd recently been disarmed by Halin. This occurred during "Crossfire" at APL12. This is technically more damage than Elysia, but there is some ambiguity over if or how a Spellsword-stored spell should be able to inflict a critical hit.

Spell Damage from a Single Spell in One Round
This award goes to Baroness Elysia of Onnwal for doing 539 points of damage to eleven submerged Aquatic Advanced Ghasts in Jeklea Bay with a Blade Barrier enhanced by Divine Spell Power during "Tropical Intrigue" at APL12.

Sundry Damage in a Single Round
This award goes to Baroness Elysia of Onnwal for doing 224 points of damage with a Greater Turning.
